WHAT IS THE LEADERSHIP LAUNCHPAD?

The Leadership Launchpad is a structured 90-day development program for newly promoted and first-time managers.

Participants strengthen the communication, delegation, feedback, accountability and decision-making skills they need while applying each concept to their actual responsibilities.

Focused training, practical tools, real-work assignments and individual coaching help managers turn learning into observable leadership behavior—not simply complete another training program.

Participants develop the ability to:

* Make sound decisions when priorities are unclear or changing

* Delegate outcomes with clear ownership and appropriate decision authority

* Communicate expectations and feedback more effectively

* Help employees navigate change without losing trust or accountability

* Build team capability instead of becoming the answer to every problem

A PROMOTION IS NOT A DEVELOPMENT PLAN

THE RIGHT SUPPORT HELPS STRONG CONTRIBUTORS BECOME EFFECTIVE PEOPLE LEADERS

Promoting strong individual contributors is only the first step. Developing them into capable people leaders requires structure, practice, and support.

Without a consistent development process, new managers often default to doing the work themselves, avoiding difficult conversations, or micromanaging. Those habits create rework, weaken accountability, and increase the risk of losing valuable employees.

Leadership Launchpad gives first-time managers a practical system for communicating expectations, delegating outcomes, coaching performance, and exercising sound judgment from day one.

Participants apply each skill to real workplace challenges through coaching, practical tools, and measurable 30-60-90-day actions.

WHY NEW MANAGERS NEED MORE THAN A ONE-TIME WORKSHOP

Theresa Bilicek facilitating leadership development for organizational leaders.

Promoting your strongest individual contributor is often the right decision—but success in the role does not automatically prepare someone to lead people.

New managers must shift from personally delivering results to creating clarity, accountability, and performance through others. Without support, many continue doing too much themselves, delay important feedback, or struggle to delegate effectively.

This is not a lack of potential. It is a predictable development gap.

Leadership Launchpad helps newly promoted managers make that transition through practical tools, coaching, and real-work application. They learn to set expectations, delegate outcomes, navigate difficult conversations, exercise sound judgment, and lead change with confidence.

The result is a more capable manager, a stronger team, and greater return on the organization’s promotion decision.

BUILT FOR THE LEADERSHIP CHALLENGES

MANAGERS FACE TODAY

Today’s managers are leading through heavier workloads, rapidly changing priorities, AI-driven change and increasing pressure to produce results with fewer resources.

They do not need more theory. They need opportunities to apply leadership skills to the real decisions, conversations and challenges already on their desks.

Leadership Launchpad gives small and mid-size companies a ready-to-implement manager-development solution—including focused training, practical tools, coaching, and measurable application—without requiring an internal L&D team to design or manage it.

PRACTICAL LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT,

GROUNDED IN REAL WORK

Hi, I’m Theresa Bilicek, a leadership coach, facilitator, and creator of Leadership Launchpad.

I help first-time managers and emerging leaders build the communication, delegation, coaching, and decision-making skills their roles require.

My approach is grounded in practical application—not theory alone. Across more than 2,600 coaching and training sessions with over 200 managers, I have seen what helps new leaders gain confidence, strengthen accountability, and deliver results through their teams.

I have worked with leaders across 55 organizations and 28 industries, from frontline operations to senior leadership. That cross-industry experience allows me to adapt proven leadership practices to each organization’s culture, challenges, and business priorities.

The Leadership Launchpad grew from that experience. It brings together focused learning, practical tools, coaching, and real-work application to help new managers make a successful transition into leadership.

Rather than relying on theory alone, participants apply what they learn to current priorities, conversations, and team challenges. This helps organizations reinforce behavior change while managers are still doing the work.

II serve as an external leadership-development partner, adapting the program to your company’s culture, business priorities, and management challenges while handling the structure, facilitation, coaching, and application support.

If you are building a stronger pipeline of confident, capable managers, the complimentary briefing will show you how the approach works.

THE MANAGER DEVELOPMENT GAP IS STILL WIDE

Fewer than half of managers worldwide have received management training.

Many organizations promote talented employees and expect them to learn leadership through trial and error.

Workshops, books, and self-directed resources can provide useful information, but information alone rarely changes everyday management behavior.

New managers need opportunities to practice delegation, feedback, coaching, prioritization, and difficult conversations—and support as they apply those skills at work.

Leadership Launchpad provides that structure through focused learning, practical tools, coaching, and measurable 30-60-90-day application.

Why Leadership Learning Doesn't Always Transfer to the Job

Workshops, books, assessments and mentoring can all contribute to manager development. The challenge is helping managers translate what they learn into different behavior when they return to work.

Leadership Launchpad provides that bridge through practical tools, real-work application, coaching, feedback and a structured 90-day development plan.

* Program structure and coordination

* Live facilitation

* Practical manager tools

* Individual or group coaching

* Real-work assignments

* Manager or sponsor check-ins

* 30-60-90-day application plans

* Progress and outcome measurement

THE TRANSITION FROM INDIVIDUAL CONTRIBUTOR TO MANAGER REQUIRES NEW SKILLS

Strong performance in a previous role does not automatically prepare someone to lead a team.

New managers become accountable for results they must achieve through other people. They may be leading former peers, more experienced employees, or teams that are skeptical about change.

They must learn to set expectations, delegate effectively, give feedback, coach performance, and exercise sound judgment—often while continuing to manage a demanding workload.

These challenges are normal. What matters is giving new managers clear frameworks, opportunities to practice, and support as they apply those skills at work.

A COMPLETE MANAGER-DEVELOPMENT SYSTEM—WITHOUT BUILDING A L&D DEPARTMENT

Designed for small and mid-size companies with limited internal L&D capacity

This is where Leadership Launchpad fits.

It gives growing companies a ready-to-implement development system built around the situations first-time managers face every day.

Participants receive focused training, practical tools, coaching, and opportunities to apply new skills to current workplace challenges. Sponsor check-ins and 30-60-90-day actions help reinforce progress between sessions.

Instead of asking a lean HR or executive team to create curriculum, coordinate development, and track application, I provide the structure, facilitation, coaching, and implementation support.

Your managers gain the skills and confidence to lead effectively. Your company gains a stronger leadership pipeline without building an internal L&D department.
